
Gilbert's pityriasis rosea is a benign condition that can occur to any person regardless of sex, age or social status. It affects mostly teenagers and young adults (people aged between 10 and 35-45 years) and especially women. Pityriasis rosea is sometimes preceded by mild respiratory tract infections.
The exact etiology of pityriasis Gilbert hygiene and no known rule does not prevent disease transmission. It is not known exactly if it is a viral or fungal component. Remedies "at home"
To relieve itching can be helpful:
* Avoiding soaps as much as possible, are indicated those containing moisturizer;
* Avoid very hot water baths;
* Affected area should be kept cool and moist. You can do this by using a towel soaked in cold water. Be careful though not to overdo this process as repeated wetting and drying lead to dry skin and worsen itching default;
* Applying a 1% hydrocortisone cream;
* Avoid contact with skin or clothes of wool fibers. You can wear clothes made of cotton or silk;
* Exposure to the sun - has proven to be effective in reducing the duration of the eruption.
